    Director of Human Resources

    Under the direction of the COO, the HR Director is responsible for all functional areas of Human Resources including but not limited to strategic planning, recruitment and employment, employee relations, job evaluations, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, HRIS,  performance management and improvement systems, counseling managers and staff, workers compensation, training, AAP/EEO and preparing, updating, and recommending human resources policies and procedures.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field required.
    • Five to ten years of HR management experience.
    • Master’s degree strongly preferred.  PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
    • Experience working in a small to medium size non-profit agency strongly preferred, with an understanding of grant funding.
    • Intermediate to advance knowledge of various HR functional areas including: FMLA/leave of absences, employee relations, worker’s compensation, training and development, benefit administration, investigations, employee engagement, policy development and employment laws.
    • Interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively communicate with staff, management, candidates, Board of Directors and public.
    • Intermediate level of proficiency using Word and Excel is required. 
    • Demonstrated knowledge of human resources information systems (HRIS), and quality improvement processes.
    • Ability to manage priorities for a wide range of responsibilities with varying deadlines and degrees of importance; must be capable of multitasking, organizing and coordinating responsibilities.
    • Pass background check in accordance with licensing requirements.
