Health & Dental Insurance: Do you pay high dues to some organization just so you have access to group health insurance? MNA members have access to Blue Cross Blue Shield Health and Dental Insurance offered in partnership with Michigan League for Human Services. But access to high quality insurance is not the only thing service or benefit you get when your nonprofit becomes a member of Michigan Nonprofit Association.

Funding Opportunities: Does your organization need help finding dollars for operation, programs or building projects? MNA can help. MNA membership also includes a membership to CityConnect Detroit’s Funding Opportunity Web site. This special arrangement with CityConnect Detroit can save your organization $150-$900 annually.

Director & Officer Liability Insurance: Has your organization taken the appropriate steps to reduce personal liability for your board members and officers? Nonprofit organizations in Michigan need D & O Insurance to help insure that directors and officers are not held personally liable for actions associated with board action or failure to take action.

Nonprofit Liability Insurance: Alliance of Nonprofits for Insurance, Risk Retention Group (ANI-RRG) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit that provides liability insurance only to 501(c)(3) nonprofits. Funded by grants from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, ANI-RRG is currently writing in policies in CO, DC, DE, KS, MD, MI, NC, NV, OH, OR, PA, and VA.

Nonprofit Unemployment Insurance: The 501 Alliance is an alternative to the Michigan Unemployment Agency, consisting of over 400 501(c)(3) organizations that have joined forces to save time and money on unemployment insurance. Public Policy Alerts: Do you know what is happening in the state and nation that can impact the way you do business? MNA members receive e-mail alerts of issues and legislation affecting nonprofit organizations and their constituents. In addition, MNA educates policy makers about nonprofit issues and helps organizations send loud and clear messages to policy makers.

Discounts: Members of MNA receive significant discounts on conference and workshop like fees. MNA hosts the statewide Grantmakers-Grantseekers Conferences, Volunteerism SuperConference, Indiana University School of Fundraising and numerous workshops on topics of interest to nonprofit leaders. Credit Card Processing: MNA, in partnership with Midwest Transaction Group, offers a card processing plan so members can realize greater returns from credit card purchases and credit card donations. With the MTG plan, members pay no monthly processing fees and low transaction rates.
